Delicious protein-packed donut holes, just 22 calories each. A healthy twist on a classic dessert, heavily influenced by @theflexibledietinglifestyle's recipe with some tweaks.
1. Whisk dry ingredients together (all purpose flour, whey/casein blend, coconut flour, zero calorie granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg) and then add in the non-fat Greek yogurt, forming a dough.
2. Form the dough into a ball and roll it out to assist in dividing it into 40-50 small dough balls. Use an additional 10g of all purpose flour for rolling if needed.
3. On a parchment paper lined baking sheet, place the dough balls and spray them with butter or oil.
4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes. Do not overbake; it should feel slightly underdone, which is ideal.
5. Allow the donut holes to cool completely before mixing your icing. For the icing, combine zero calorie powdered sugar with a splash of milk (use less milk than you think you need for a thick consistency).
6. Coat the cooled donut holes with the icing. Once the icing has hardened (about 10 minutes), enjoy!
